The "frog splint" gets its name from its design, which immobilizes the toes in a frog-like manner. The manufacturing process must comply with medical device standards and be made from biocompatible, hypoallergenic materials.

Frog Splint Production Process

  1. Design and Dimensioning
    • Size options suitable for different finger lengths are prepared (S, M, L).
    • For anatomical fit, a mold is designed to fit the natural angle of the finger joints.
  2. Material Selection
    • Aluminum sheet: The basic carrier body due to its shapeability and lightness.
    • Polyethylene or PVC coating: To ensure that the surface in contact with the skin is soft and non-irritating.
    • Sponge pad / EVA coating: For additional comfort and skin protection.
  3. Mold and Shaping
    • The aluminum body is prepared with CNC cutting or injection molding.
    • The ends are rounded for a comfortable fit on the finger.
    • The side that comes into contact with the skin is laminated with sponge or polymer coating.
  4. Surface Treatment
    • Metal surfaces are protected against oxidation with an anodized coating.
    • Polymer coatings can be strengthened with antibacterial additives.
  5. Packaging
    • It is offered in individual sterile packages.
    • Instructions for use and size charts are included.
